Both of these are books that can be quickly read, but must be reread, and reread again. Their messages are simple, straightfoward and profound. C.J. Mahaney is a speaker filled with gospel passion and this book reflects that very well.
Joel Beeke is an eminent, modern, experimental pastor/theologian. Everything that I have heard from him and read by him has been exceptionally edifying.
In the next few weeks I will begin teaching our teen SS class. My plan is to work through Beeke's book and use Mahaney's as supplemental. I'm very excited about this plan and opportunity. I have been richly blessed in the preparations.
