Book Club beginning in May

I've heard of reading schedules but seeing the schedule proposed by Mark Dever (see previous post) was very helpful to me. I always like to carry a book with me. Traffic can get backed up around here real quick so it's nice to have something to do while you're parked on the highway. However, I've never followed a plan.

I would like to give Dever's "Canon of Theologians" a try. Maybe next year, or the following year, I'll decide to amend the schedule to other men I would like to get to know. We'll see. But, for now, I want to simply get started. My dad has been telling me about Sibbes' The Bruised Reed for some time know and I've yet to sit down and read it. Well, according to Dever's plan, Sibbes is the subject of reading for May.

There are a few books one could choose from by or about Richard Sibbes.

1. The Bruised Reed (find at CBD, Westminster Bookstore, or Amazon).
2. Glorious Freedom (find at CBD, Westminster Bookstore, or Amazon).
3. Mark Dever has written a biography of Richard Sibbes that looks interesting (find at Amazon).
4. Complete Works of Richard Sibbes, 7 volumes ( find at Westminster Bookstore).
