The late, Rev. William Hanna, minister in the Free Church of Scotland and colleague of Dr Thomas Guthrie went home to be with his Lord and Savior on this day in 1882. Hanna was a preacher and theologian, but is most remembers as the son-in-law and biographer of Dr Thomas Chalmers.
Besides this biography he wrote various other theological work and served as an editor of the North British Review.
