There is no doubt that a vast majority of people in evangelical and fundamental churches (churches that actually have the gospel or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof) have never shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with other people. One of the most common reasons given is that they are scared. I remember that when I first came to Grace (the church where I am pastor), an older lady who had been a member of the church since the 1950’s expressed to me her unwillingness to counsel a child in the way of salvation.
