Book Review--The Majesty of God in the OT

Andy Efting has written a review of the following book and we have posted it on SharperIron. Kaiser is one of my favorite contemporary theologians. I've got my copy and I'm looking forward to diving into it.

KaiserWalter C. Kaiser (Ph.D., Brandeis University) is president emeritus and Colman Mockler Distinguished Professor of Old Testament at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is the author of more than 30 books, including Mission in the Old Testament and Preaching and Teaching from the Old Testament.

In his classic book, The Knowledge of the Holy, A.W. Tozer says the following:

The most portentous fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like. We tend by a secret law of the soul to move toward our mental image of God. . . . Always the most revealing thing about the Church is her idea of God, just as her most significant message is what she says about Him or leaves unsaid, for her silence is often more eloquent than her speech.
