Timothy George and David Hogg on the RCS (InterVarsity Press)

Yesterday, I had the privilege of hearing Dr. Timothy George speak on a combination of subjects in which he very apparently delights: Scripture and the Reformers.  Here is a short video interview with Dr. George, the General Editor of the Reformation Commentary on Scripture, which draws out his enthusiasm for this dual-delight and how this new Commentary series can serve the Church by retrieving for her sake the rich exegesis of Scripture by the Reformers.  As Dr. George concludes, "[These are] retrieved for the sake of renewal; the renewal of the church, the renewal of the body of Christ."

I was also glad to hear a few words from Dr. George's colleague at Beeson Divinity School, Dr. David Hogg, volume editor of Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job.  I enjoyed meeting Dr. Hogg a few years ago and sitting in on one of his Church History classes during a visit to SEBTS.
